Are We Willing to Follow Jesus—Even When It's Hard? (John 7, Luke 9, Matthew 8)
It's Monday-- let's drink our coffee and read God's word together.
Welcome to the Daily Bible Podcast Coffee Club!
We’re Tricia and Michelle, two friends inviting you to join us in reading through the Bible chronologically this year, using the NLT One Year Bible. These daily emails are meant to be a cozy companion to your morning coffee and the Daily Bible Podcast.

Word of the Day Espresso Shot
Word of the Day: Willing
We think of saints as extraordinary people who laid their life down for Jesus.
That description is true. But laying one’s life down for Jesus doesn’t just mean one moment of physically dying— it also means thousands of tiny moments choosing Him instead of the world.
It means:
Holding your tongue instead of throwing back a sarcastic response.
Praying with your spouse at night instead of just turning over and going to sleep
Being kind to your grumpy boss, instead of simply tolerating him
Saying something positive about a friend, instead of participating in inner-friend gossip
Spending time reading your Bible, listening to Christian podcasts, and reading Christian literature, instead of scrolling Instagram (You’re making this decision right now!)
It’s often easier and more comfortable to make the decision to follow the world. But it’s these small moments that build a great life full of faith.
A.W. Tozer was once asked what makes a saint a saint. He answered quite simply: “The lifelong habit of spiritual response.”
Today’s Challenge
Are you willing to do the small things in your everyday life for Jesus? You are already, by choosing to read this when you could be on social media or doing something else. What else can you do today to make small habits for choosing Jesus?
Memory Verse
If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is of God, or I am speaking from Myself. -John 7:17

John 8 contains one of the most powerful stories in the Bible— with Jesus’ compassion and grace on full display.
But it also contains a mysterious line— that Jesus “wrote in the dust.”
